Italy, US, Europe: a common future

Il Workshop dal tema “ITALY, US, EUROPE, A COMMON FUTURE” ha avuto luogo a New York dal 28 febbraio al 2 marzo 2019.

All’apertura dei lavori un saluto di benvenuto è stato rivolto oltre che dal Presidente Domenico Siniscalco, da Armando Varricchio (Ambassador of Italy to the US) e Lewis Eisenberg (US Ambassador to Italy).

I keynote speeches sono stati tenuti da Timothy Adams (President and CEO, Institute of International Finance) e Giancarlo Giorgetti (Under Secretary of State to the Prime Minister’s Office, Italy).

Marco Tronchetti Provera (Executive Vice Chairman and CEO, Pirelli & Co, and Honorary Chairman, The Council for the United States and Italy) moderato da Gianni Riotta (Executive Vice Chairman, The Council for the United States and Italy) ha tenuto un intervento su “The Future of Memory”.

Maria Angela Zappia (Ambassador of Italy to the UN) è intervenuta sul tema “Strategic Priorities and Actions of Italy at the United Nations”.

Le sei sessioni di lavoro sono state dedicate ai seguenti temi:

con Nando Pagnoncelli (Country Chairman, IPSOS), Giovanni Castellaneta (Chairman of the Board, Bizzi & Partners International), and Charles Kupchan (Senior Fellow, Council on Foreign Relations). Gerard Baker (Editor at large, The Wall Street Journal) ha moderato il dibattito.

The Geopolitical and Economic Scenario: Outlook on Transatlantic Relations

con Ian Bremmer (President and Founder, Eurasia Group), Fu Jun (Professor, National School of Development and the School of Government; Academic Dean of Institute of South-South Cooperation and Development, University of Beijing), Adam Posen (President, Peterson Institute for International Economics), Tom Ridge (Chairman, Ridge Global) e Arrigo Sadun (President and Founder, TLSG, International Advisors).

Charles Kenny (Director of Technology and Development, Center for Global Development) è intervenuto su “Is Globalization Still a Force for Good?” Federico Rampini (Author and Columnist, La Repubblica) ha moderato il dibattito.
