Minister of University and Research in the Meloni Cabinet, she is a lawyer and has taught at the University of Bologna and authored numerous publications. She was first elected Member of Parliament in 2008 and served as Minister for European Union Policies in 2011. She was elected Senator in 2018 and 2022 and became President of the Forza Italia Parliamentary Group.
