As Genoa moves from its historical past as the birthplace of Columbus and the nautical capital of Italy to a technological and scientific city, it was its first time as a Young Leaders Conference on the theme: “Changing interconnections. How Technological Innovation is Transforming Industrial Structures, Reshaping Social and Economic Systems, and Impacting Telecommunications”.
The proceedings took place at the Fondazione Ansaldo, hosted by the President Luigi Giraldi. The keynote speeches were given by Gabriele Galateri di Genola, Chairman of Telecom Italia, and Alessandro Pansa, Co-General Manager of Finmeccanica, who are also alumni of the Council’s Young Leaders Program and members of the Council for the Us and Italy.
The proceedings were also stimulated by Sergio De Luca, CEO of Ansaldo STS, Roberto Saracco, Director of Telecom Italia’s Future Centre, Carlo Luzzatto, Co-General Manager of Ansaldo Energia, and Carlo Castellano, Chairman of Esaote.
